Other names: pain radiating to the ear

Ear pain can radiate from many surrounding structures. The pain here may be transmitted from tonsils, which are swollen and painful as a result of another disease. The pain may originate from the cervical spinal roots. They are based on the gaps between the vertebral bodies and innervate the muscles of the neck. If the vertebrae together poorly constructed, their bony bodies may oppress the spinal root leading to the neck.
