Joint pain can arise from many causes. To determine the cause, it is important to know the nature of the pain that arose suddenly or gradually, whether it is dependent on the movement that preceded the formation of an accident, whether it is accompanied by other symptoms.
At the inception of joint pain it is therefore advisable to visit a doctor to determine the cause. To establish the diagnosis may need additional tests such as x-rays, blood tests, or puncture the joint.
