Feeling of acidity behind the breastbone spreading to the neck, popularly known as heartburn,heartburn professionally. It is actually a return of acidic stomach juices back into the esophagus.Oesophageal mucosa is adapted to come into contact with such an acidic liquid and therefore is irritated, the return of gastric juice becomes uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
Heartburn usually causes overproduction of gastric juices, and if it occurs once in a while, or when the pregnancy is not a reason to panic. However, if you repeatedly heartburn may be a symptom of disorders of the closure of the lower esophageal sphincter, which due to their insufficient function continuously transmits stomach contents into the esophagus.

Therapy
