Secreted gas consisting mainly of nitrogen (20-90%), followed by hydrogen (0-50%), carbon dioxide (10-30%), oxygen and methane (both around 10%). Flatus is formed first, exogenous gas (air swallowed during eating, etc.) And endogenous gas which arises as a result of activity of the bacterial flora.
