Liver

The liver is the largest organ, providing energy metabolism and metabolism in the body. Located in the upper right abdomen and protects the ribs. It takes place c which more than 500 different processes, while 22 of them are absolutely necessary for life. The liver is the major detoxifying organ of the body – to neutralize toxins and other harmful substances (nicotine, drugs, alcohol, drugs, …) which are sent to the kidneys to eliminate.

These important processes can slow or stop the serious liver disease, the most common viral origin – hepatitis. May be dangerous and high levels of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Disease called chronic liver inflammation leads to scarring – cirrhosis. Another risk is the loss of ability to secrete bile, which may result in gallstones in the gallbladder.

Symptoms of liver problems are often fever, jaundice, loss of hair, inflate the abdominal cavity and fatty vesicles yellowish color in the area of the upper eyelid.

Good prevention is a change in diet and lifestyle. Serve meals with low fat diet. Avoid alcohol, drugs, spicy, salty or overly sweet things.Excessive consumption of coffee and tea is also not suitable. Choose foods rich in a substance called folate and vitamin B12 . A suitable source of these substances are animal livers (unless you are in pregnancy), dairy products and fish, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
